Yes. ElShift supports employee shift swaps. An employee can request a direct swap with an eligible colleague, the colleague can respond where required, and a manager makes the approval decision before the authoritative schedule is changed and republished.
Employees can request swaps from published shifts
Employee Hub supports direct shift-swap requests from published assignments. Eligible colleagues are selected conservatively within the same organization and scheduling scope, and the target employee cannot already have an overlapping published assignment for the offered shift period.
Colleagues and managers have separate roles
The employee workflow supports acknowledgement, shift-change requests, direct swaps, colleague responses where relevant, cancellations, and status tracking. Manager decisions remain separate from employee self-service.
Employee Hub does not directly rewrite the authoritative manager schedule. When an approved request or swap requires the assignment to change, the manager applies the scheduling change in the existing schedule workflow and republishes the updated schedule.
Shift changes are not limited to swaps
Employees can also submit supported shift-change requests such as being unable to work, requesting a different time, requesting a different day, or reporting a scheduling issue. The request is tracked for manager review rather than silently altering the published schedule.

Eligible pending swap and shift-change requests can be cancelled from Employee Hub, with their status kept visible in the employee actions workflow.
