Set required headcount for a shift and optional minimums for each Location. Auto Assign fills suitable openings using the scheduling information and rules in ElShift. If it cannot fill a required place without breaking a hard rule, the gap remains visible for a manager to review.
Set the number each shift needs
Choose the headcount required for each shift template. This gives Auto Assign and the manager a clear target, rather than treating every assignment as an isolated calendar entry.
Check each site, not just the total
With Locations enabled, managers can set a minimum for a particular site or work area. That makes it possible to see when the shift has enough people overall but one location still needs coverage.
Use an open shift as a useful signal
If leave, work patterns, hours or another hard rule leaves too few suitable employees, ElShift can show where coverage is missing. A manager can then review the staffing need or decide what to do next.
